International conference on soils under global change - a challenge for the 21st century

Objective

An Internat. Conference is proposed on recent development in soil and environment degradation processes, inducing a global change of these natural resources. Processes to be included in the Conference refer to: compaction, structure deterioration, erosion, contamination by various pollutants, desertification in arid and dry-sub humid areas, iridisation, periodic drought and water logging, climatic changes, etc. Scientists from various countries (especially EU members, candidates for accession to EU, Mediterranean partner countries, etc) will present the status of these processes in their own countries and results of recent research on available management farming techniques preventing mitigation and combating these processes. Conclusion will be widely dissemination and forwarded to decision makers.
