Objective
The purpose of the project is to improve the conditions of living at home of the elderly. Our specific purpose is to focus on the prerequisites of living at home in presently existing dwelling stock, rather than ideal newly built environments. The project will:
1. Clarity the present situation both in terms of supply on the market and by organisations, and demand, as expressed in the needs and wishes of the elderly.
2. Develop sets of criteria that cover the preconditions of the elderly for living at home as regards the dwelling, its surroundings and facilities providing services and infrastructure.
3. Test and improve sets of criteria, after work in empirical cases.
4. Suggest dissemination plans for authorities, builders, service organisations etc.
