Objective
The proposal aims to organise a Post-Graduate Course directed to health care institutions and to the medical scientific community to facilitate and speed up the transfer of research results into clinical practice. Attention will be paid to exploit the results obtained from the research performed in a previous Biomed RTD project.
The participants will:
-understand the principles of new diagnostic procedures like optoelectronic plethysmography and functional imaging of the lung and the airways mechanics;
-gain an insight into the new advances in the treatment of COPD, asthma, neuromuscular disorders and in the intensive care unit;
-acquire knowledge about the new physiological, biomedical and clinical problems and opportunities in the field of mechanics of breathing.
Leading scientists compose the Faculty. The clinical community will benefit from the most up-date techniques for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disorders.
