Rapid detection of pathogens in food using advanced immunomagnetic separation.

Objective

This proposal will model; construct and test a novel automated high gradient magnetic separation system for the concentration of pathogenic microorganisms from foods. It will combine physical, microprocessor and microbiological skills to enable rapid and sensitive detection of target pathogens.
