Objectif
COMPUTER CONTROL HAS NOT YET BEEN APPLIED TO THE CONTINUOUS DYEING OF FABRICS MADE OUT OF NATURAL AND MANMADE FIBRES, BUT IT IS AN APPLICATION WHICH WILL YIELD GREAT BENEFITS IN TERMS OF INCREASED THROUGHPUT, IMPROVED QUALITY, LESS REJECTED MATERIAL, AND BETTER REPRODUCTIBILITY OF COLOUR FROM BATCH TO BATCH. A STEP INCREASE IN EFFICIENCY IS THEREFORE EXPECTED.
THE DECISIVE PROCESS VARIABLES WILL BE DETERMINED BY MONITORING THE PRODUCTION PROCESS FOR A CONTINUOUS PERIOD AND ON THE BASIS OF A STATISTICAL ANALYSIS, FOUR OR FIVE CRITICAL PARAMETERS WILL BE SELECTED. A COMPUTER PROGRAM AND HARDWARE WILL BE SET UP TO CONTROL THESE CHOSEN PARAMETERS TO DEMONSTRATE THAT COMPUTER CONTROL IS BOTH FEASIBLE AND WORTHWHILE.
