PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR COMPUTER INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING IN THE APPAREL INDUSTRY

Objective



THE CLOTHING INDUSTRY HAS A NEED FOR NEW TECHNOLOGIES ESPECIALLY IN THE AREA OF COMPUTER INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING TO IMPROVE ITS COMPETITIVENESS.
THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT IS TO SPECIFY AND TO DEVELOP A BASIC CONCEPT FOR AN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR COMPUTER INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING IN THE APPAREL INDUSTRY. THE PROJECT WILL CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS STANDARDIZING THE PROCEDURES IN RELATION TO THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF THE CLOTHING INDUSTRY.
EXISTING MODULES (CUT PLANNING, PATTERN DESIGN, CALCULATION SYSTEMS, WORKSTUDY SYSTEMS, ETC.) WILL BE INTEGRATED INTO THE SYSTEM.
