Construction with unbound road aggregates in Europe

Objectif

In summary the objectives of the project are:

- To extend and deepen the understanding of the fundamental mechanical behaviour of unbound granular materials.

- To provide a means of characterising this behaviour in a manner suitable for application in pavement design and performance prediction, partly by developing appropriate models.

- To attempt to validate this description with real pavement performance data.

- To apply the knowledge gained to develop better materials and better methods of use.

- To draft the consequent findings in a manner appropriate for European pavement design and maintenance personnel.
