EVENT SEQUENCE RELIABILITY BENCHMARK EXERCISE (ES-RBE).

Objective

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROPOSED RESEARCH ACTIVITY IS NOT TO DEVELOP FURTHER EVENT SEQUENCE ANALYSIS PROCEDURES, BUT TO DERIVE CONSENSUS PROCEDURES IN COOPERATION WITH THE OTHER EUROPEAN PARTICIPANTS IN THE PROJECT.

THE ASSESSMENT OF THE EVENT SEQUENCE PROCEDURES WILL BE BASED ON THE REFERENCE ASSESSMENT OF A COMPLETE EVENT SEQUENCE DIAGRAM BY MEANS OF A FAULT TREE ANALYSIS USING A EUROPEAN PWR AS REFERENCE PLANT. ONLY IN THIS WAY THE DEPENDENCIES OF THE TOTAL SYSTEM CAN BE CORRECTLY DESCRIBED. FOR THE FAULT TREE ANALYSIS GRS HAS THE PROGRAM PACKAGE RALLY.
EMPHASIS WILL BE PLACED ON THE DISCUSSION OF THE USED PROCEDURES WITH THE OTHER EUROPEAN PARTNERS IN THE BENCHMARK EXERCISE.
