Objective
Work will concentrate on characterising the secondary structure of oxygenated polymers studying both the surface and the bulk. This will be attained by an experimental approach based on electron spectroscopies such as X-Ray and ultra violet photoelectron
spectroscopy (XPS and UPS), high resolution election energy loss spectroscopy (HREELS) and X-Ray emission spectroscopy (XES). The first two mainly concerns surfaces, the latter bulk. Work will also be done on loaded polymers studying the interaction of polar guest molecules and the host polymer using XPS and XES in conjunction with
spectroscopic thermal and non-linear optical characterisation.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
