Objective
A cross-disciplinary experimental and theoretical basic research programme in surface science, including measurements of adsorption dynamics and sticking probabilities; metallic and semiconductor cluster beam interactions; photo-dissociation/desorption dynamics; angle resolved photoelectron emission of oriented molecules; laser dissociation of metal organics (MOMBE). The experimental programme combines pulsed laser; synchrotron, molecular beam and surface science techniques, available at Nottingham and Orsay, with the theoretical and computational laboratory at Madrid, to create a strongly interactive group with complementary experience and facilities, devoted to the technologically important field of surface dynamics.
