PV ELECTRIFICATION OF FARM AND CATTLE COMPLEX

Objective

To electrify a farm and dairy farm for autonomous operation. This center serves as a pilot agricultural and cattle farm (international training centre Spain/African countries).
Satisfactory operation continues for water pumping, household electricity, street lighting.
The milking machine and the milk cooler have not (yet) been installed.
The load is lower than designed and hence the battery is always fully charged. As the charge regulator allows gassing of the battery, the distilled water for the battery has to be replenished monthly.
Good date for the analytical monitoring for the period from January 1993 to December 1994 have been analysed.
One system with charge regulator and battery, supplying through five inverters the power to the ac-loads :
1.) milk cooler, (0.93 kW), Alfa Laval
2.) household loads, (0.67 kW)
3.) illumination, (0.71 kW)
4.) Water pumping (1 kW)
5.) Road lighting (0.35 kW)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
