Objective
For various reasons the solar heating systems penetration is very slow in central European countries. Architects and plumbers are not excepted of this rule. By creating a complete, state of the art, solar system package we try to overcome all the barriers preventing the dissemination of the solar systems. Technology transfer and marketing assistance from Greece to Germany. The target is to install a large number of solar systems to professional's houses in Germany.
Prove the reasons of pure market penetration of solar thermal systems. Creation of a reliable data base of technical and other difficulties for solar system installation and how they can be solved.
The professionals will have their own experience of a solar system. The installations will gain about 199.200 kWh per year which is equivalent to 265.000 kWh primary energy, resulting to avoided emissions of about 70.100 kg CO2, 93 kg SO2, 48 kg NOx, 44 kg CO per year.
More than 70 solar plants are included in the monitoring programme comprising quantity of heat, consumption of hot water, operational capacity of collectors. The plants were checked within a extensive service programme, to verify the operator's data in comparison to collected data. All parameters relevant for the simulation were recorded and controlled. The proposer function of the plants' installation was controlled in order to identify insufficient installed components. An investigation of the user behaviour was carried out the recorded data of 1 and 2 march 1997 were evaluated.
Under this project all the professionals for solar systems (manufacturers, promoters, engineers, architects and installers) will cooperate to solve all the barriers preventing the installation of solar systems.
The Greek market is the only well developed market in EC. The technical and marketing expertise will be transferred to Germany.
The project is based on 2 state of the art, solar systems configurations.
Each system is a complete package incorporating
- Technical innovations and latest developments
- Guarranty of performance
- Simulation of future cost reduction scenarios.
Totally 90 solar systems will be installed in existing professional's houses. This way, the professionals will gain their own experience of installing and using a solar system. This will result to a multiply dissemination effect.
All the technical problems arising from this variety of installations will be solved through joint experts' effort. This will result to a reliable data base of how to overcome technical problems.
