Objective
Content of research project is the design study and mock up validation of a computer controlled mobile distance meter. First application of such equipment is tunnel (or similar construction works) deformation surveillance. Such surveillance can be performed during construction, or for maintenance purposes, when tunnel is in service. Mobile distance meter will have high accuracy (down 1 mm at ranges of 3 to 5 meters), will be operated without any specific device (reflectors,...) on the tunnel walls, and will allow continuous inspection all along the tunnel.
