Design of new and low cost analysis equipment based on NMR, multifrequency impedancemetry and ultrasound measurement for the characterisation of organic compound

Objective

The objective of this research programme is to design an innovative and low cost equipment based on low resolution NMR acoustic and/or impedance measurements to test the quality of the product in food industry but also this technique may be use for narcotic and explosive detection. A research programme is required to verify the potentiality of this new technique using one until 3 associated different technologies : 2 electromagnetic one (NMR and impedance measurement) and ultrasonic testing. They are many connections between NMR and multifrequency impedance measurement (we use multifrequency magnetic field with coils like detector, only difference on the spectrum analysis and the fact to use also DC magnetic field for NMR); ultrasonic testing may be use to complete these investigations by attenuation and velocity measurement and ultrasonic wave.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
