New measure technique for PMI (positive materials identification) analysing of alloys for metal and process industry by means of coulormetric sampling and spectrophotometric determination

Objective

In the industry (metals industry, chemical industry, food and beverage industry) it regularly happens that alloys are mixed up. Use of wrong materials can lead to corrosion or mechanical failre, resulting into possible accidents, environmental damages and financial claims. In this project, a fast measure method for use on locations will be developed. Research will be required to develop the sampling electrode, the optics (colour measuring), electronics and software. Research will also be required to develop the electrolytes and chemical colour indicators, including optimalisation of tenavbility of solutions.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
