Objective
1. Provide tool for measurement of socio-economic impact of transport infrastructure investments and transport system improvements (structuring effects).
2. Work carried out in five countries (France, UK, Germany, Spain, Finland).
3. Scope in France (where research has already been carried out); refine models on basis of time savings and analyse possible dampening effects at national and regional levels.
4. Scope in UK, Germany, Spain, Finland: provide a first set of models linking employment, value added and production, with explanatory variables at country or regional level amongst which transport infrastructure investments.
