OSMOENZYME ACTION. MOLECULAR MECHANISMS OF PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL FORCE DEVELOPMENT AND ENERGY INTERCONVERSION ACROSS NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL MEMBRANE INTERFACES

Objective

The mechanisms of energy coupling between electron transfer and proton movement have been evaluated in the cytochrome system.
Considerable advances have been made in the protein chemistry of cytochrome c reductase, including its interaction with inhibitors and on other system components.
A new method has been developed for measuring proton motive stoichiometry of osmoenzymes, as has a new method for cytochrome oxidase purification.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
