MATHEMATICAL TECHNIQUES FOR THE MODELLING ANALYSIS AND CONTROL OF COMPLEX DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS

Objective

Collaborative research has been undertaken to provide basic results in modelling, approximation and control. The research spans modelling from time series, discrete modelling, modelling of 2-dimensional systems, modelling and approximation from step data, control techniques for 2-dimensional systems and process control. Particular emphasis was placed on issues of plant identification, model error characterisation, adaptation and the effect of these and other nonlinear output feedback systems.
