Objective
The main objective of SATEMA is to provide technical and administrative support for the Commission's contribution to the establishment of a Global Navigation Satellite System. The European Space Agency will primarily contribute to solving outstanding technical issues and will provide technical coordination (Japan and USA). Support will be provided to the High Level Group working in this subject. The project will also provide technical advice on the use of space services e.g. telecommunications satellites, within other projects in the Fourth Framework Programme.
