DIPHASIC COMPRESSION

Objective

The aim of this project is to develop a new production system able to boost the stream of gas wells which are producing some liquids in addition to the gas.

The production system is based on the use of a new equipment : a diphasic compressor capable to boost the gas as well as the liquid . The selected type of compressor is a screw compressor.
The project applies to a programme which purpose is mainly to design, execute and test at field conditions a screw compressor which accepts gas containing a liquid fraction.
Slugging will be also a matter of concern during the project as slug could seriously damage the machine : a slug breaker will also be tested.
Attention is also paid to hydrates problems, which formation condition has to be predicted as accurately as possible. As regards liquid content, the project considers gas containing 2 percent (volume) at suction conditions.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
