OFFSHORE TRANSFER SYSTEM TEST FOR CRYOGENIC LIQUIDS

Objective

To check by means of large-scale tests the economic and technical viability of offshore transfer systems for cryogenic liquids.

The project was a continuation of the first (engineering) phase which produced the overall design and prepared the detailed testing program. In the present project, the system components will be manufactured and checked for their proper functioning.
The testing plant consists of a steel tower with a tower head which permits full 360 degree horizontal rotation, and a 40m long boom . The main phases of the construction work will be:
- tower
- tower head with boom, control and monitoring system
- hose transfer system with control and monitoring system
- tensioning system for hose and articulated transfer system
- construction and assembly of the mooring system
Preparation for modifying the transport vessel - final acceptance and operational tests.
