Objective
The research programme to develop the pipeline trenching machine will be carried out with the intention of studying and verifying the operation of individual components before proceeding with the development of the prototype.

After having assembled in our logistical centre at cortemaggiore the necessary testing equipment, we have tested individual components such as evacuation pumps and samples of our cutting wheel with various cutters in different configurations. We have succeeded in verifying the validity and efficiency of various rotating systems and hydraulic bearings. Having reached these conclusions, we looked at the resources of various trustworthy contractors and commissioned a feasibility study. Because of a change in market conditions this project was stopped in december 1980.
