Exploitable results
EUROPE-TRIS is developing tools to address the planning process in railway companies. The activities that are supported include infrastructure management and transport operations (in line with the European Directives 440/91).
Three products will be commercialised world-wide:
1) a Traffic Capacity Management simulator;
2) Timetable teleconferencing systems which address tactical planning;
3) Freight-Timetable telemarketing systems which address contingency planning (particularly freight and intermodal operation).
Major beneficiaries will be railway infrastructure operators and transport operators. Major validation sites are situated in Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
