Exploitable results
MARCO will develop a set of tools, algorithms and technologies for conflict detection and resolution over a wide range of real time applications in railway and metro networks.
A conflict detection and resolution system will be developed as part of a Train Management System and will be made commercially available world-wide. It will allow operators (Railways and Rail Mass transit) to optimise train traffic when normal schedules are disturbed. Demonstrations have taken place in Italy, Belgium and Finland.
