Objective

To erect a variable speed turbine and connect it to the autonomous grid of the island of Texel.

A turnkey type E-33 wind turbine is to be erected by Enercon for the wildlife station and refuge "Ecomare". This turbine is to stand on the breakwater of the port of the island. The use of renewable energy for this wildlife refuge is to draw the public attention at large to endangered species in this area by waste and oil spills.
INNOVATION : to demonstrate the capabilities of the soft coupling by variable speed and generator excitation control for weak.
