Objective
Construction of a wind farm consisting of 2 new developed ECOTECNIA 500 kW 3 bladed, 36 m diameter fixed pitch wind turbines at Tarifa (Spain). The mean wind speed at the site is 8.3 m/s in 30 m height. The aim is to demonstrate the new 500 kW unit. Particulary under the complex terrain an high wind speed environment. The project includes a comprehensive scientific measurement programme of wind turbine loading and performance characteristics.
