South Midlands Renewable Energy Advice Centre

Objective

To raise awarness of renewable energy
To encourage renewable energy projects

The project will create the infrastructure for a regional Renewable Energy Advice Centre covering the South Midlands region of the UK. It will operate the Centre initially for a pilot study period of three years. The center will act as a focal point for professionals and the public wishing to find out more about the practical implementation of renewable energy technologies.

The Centre will be pro-active, actively promoting interest in renewable energy throughout the region, and re-active responding to requests for information. It will work closely with local authorities and local organisations. It will also collabotate with the UK Government agency for renewable energy ETSU and will seek to develop ties with similar institutions in other EU regions.
