Two Seminars for Technical Managers of the Central Administration Buildings

Objective

To promote the interest on different aspects of the energy technologies among Administration responsibles and to remark the importance that an adequate management of the budget may have. To influence on the behaviour of users who in this case will be the technical managers of the Central Administration Buildings.
The number of attendants was very satisfactory. They were from different Spanish ministries and other public organizations and they participated actively in both seminars asking many questions about saving and optimization of installations in Central Administration Buildings.
We considered that this meetins had contributed to the general SAVE objectives, increasing the awareness of the participants, about the possibilities of exploitation cost saving due to energy saving.
The duration of the first seminar was one day and the number of attendants were 63 people. It was directed to General Managers of the Central Administration Buildings. The programme dealt with the following subjects:
- Energy tariffs and prices and their applications.
- Energy saving and control in lighting : a new technology for the management of this service.
- Special energy technologies : expenditure, cogeneration, recuperation.
- Explanation about the programme for the modernization of Public Administration Buildings as well as the actions carried out regarding this matter.
The second seminar lasted 4 days (morning sessions) and was addressed to the responsibles for energy management in public buildings (maintenance managers, technical services managers and architechtural offices). The number of attendants were 65 people. The programme covered the following aspects besides the topics mentioned for the first seminar:
- Energy audits : management and control of the energy consumption.
- Energy optimization in sport centres.
- Reduction of energy consumption in water treatment plants, water pumps and water suppliers.
- Energy optimization in heating and hot water installations.
- Energy optimization in air conditioning installations.
- Special saving systems and techniques.
- Management and control of energy consumption. Organization, maintenance service and management and exploitation techniques of the installations.
