Objective
i) Characterisation, by monitoring, of the energy consumption in services enterprises - restaurant and supermarkets - powered with low voltage.
ii) Identification and assessment of energy efficiency measures in these segments
Monitoring will be carried out in 25 enterprises powered with low voltage in each country (Portugal and Spain in a total of 50 enterprises), ranked in these categories, selected in accordance to a methodology based on installed power levels. This sample should allow for an extrapolation of results applicable to all users belonging to the referred segments. In particular cases, monitoring will also allow for an assessment of the impact of replacing the existing equipment by energy efficient appliances and other energy conservation opportunities. The information thus gleaned will be an important input for the drafting of DSM programmes, in the future.
The proposed project shall be developed in seven phases:
1) Selection of the sample
2) Installation of measuring devices and monitoring
3) Analysis of individual data and individual reports
4) Analysis of global data
5) Identification and assessment of Energy Efficiency Measures
6) Final report
7) Dissemination of results and later actions.
