Schemes for SME industrial energy management

Objective

- To establish scheme guidelines for enabling and enhancing SME efforts to obtain maximum energy efficiency inherently in their management systems
- To secure an optimal integration of SAVE objectives in SME operations towards management of EMAS type

The objectives of this project are to be achieved by a fourfold approach:
1. Listing and analysing successful approaches from each country in this field
2. Pilot development and implementation of a national operational energy certification scheme tailored for small size industrial facilities
3. Pilot development of a national scheme with practical energy management handbooks describing tools specifically adapted for SMEs
4. Utilising the results within a dissemination campaign for energy efficiency within EMAS related operations
