Objective The overall aim of the AMaTUC project is to boost the scientific excellence and innovation capacity in additive manufacturing of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN) and its high-quality Twinning partners for the benefit of the automotive industry and personalised products markets. To achieve this aim, the 3 year project will build upon the existing strong research and innovation base of TUCN and its twinning partners Loughborough University (LbU), FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences (ACUAS) and Intelligentsia Consultants (Intelligentsia). The AMaTUC project aims to boost TUCN and twinning partners' scientific excellence and innovation capacity in additive manufacturing, as well as implementing a research and innovation strategy focused on three sub-topics:1. Improve existing AM technologies,2. Integrate the AM technologies with suitable Rapid Tooling methods, and3. Design for competitive manufacturing of personalised products and computer planning (CAE-FEM) analysis and simulationThe research and innovation strategy takes into account the recent SWOT analysis of TUCN as well as the national Romanian research priorities and Smart Specialisation Strategy. The specific objectives of the AMaTUC project are presented below:• Objective 1: Strengthen TUCN’s research excellence in AM• Objective 2: Enhance the research and innovation capacity of TUCN and Twinning partners• Objective 3: Raise the research profile of TUCN and the Twinning Partners• Objective 4: Contribute to the research and innovation priorities of Romania• Objective 5: Support research and innovation on a European level Programme(s) H2020-EU.4.b. - Twinning of research institutions Main Programme Topic(s) H2020-TWINN-2015 - Twinning Call for proposal H2020-TWINN-2015 See other projects for this call Funding Scheme CSA - Coordination and support action Coordinator UNIVERSITATEA TEHNICA CLUJ-NAPOCA Net EU contribution € 501 495,00 Address STR MEMORANDUMULUI 28 400114 Cluj Napoca Romania See on map Region Macroregiunea Unu Nord-Vest Cluj Activity type Higher or Secondary Education Establishments Links Contact the organisation Opens in new window Website Opens in new window Participation in EU R&I programmes Opens in new window HORIZON collaboration network Opens in new window Total cost € 501 495,00 Participants (3) Sort alphabetically Sort by Net EU contribution Expand all Collapse all LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY United Kingdom Net EU contribution € 206 161,25 Address ASHBY ROAD LE11 3TU Loughborough See on map Region East Midlands (England) Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire Leicestershire CC and Rutland Activity type Higher or Secondary Education Establishments Links Contact the organisation Opens in new window Website Opens in new window Participation in EU R&I programmes Opens in new window HORIZON collaboration network Opens in new window Total cost € 206 161,25 FACHHOCHSCHULE AACHEN Germany Net EU contribution € 194 050,00 Address BAYERNALLEE 11 52066 Aachen See on map Region Nordrhein-Westfalen Köln Städteregion Aachen Activity type Higher or Secondary Education Establishments Links Contact the organisation Opens in new window Website Opens in new window Participation in EU R&I programmes Opens in new window HORIZON collaboration network Opens in new window Total cost € 194 050,00 INTELLIGENTSIA CONSULTANTS SARL Luxembourg Net EU contribution € 97 737,50 Address 35 CITE AM WENKEL 8086 Bertrange See on map SME The organization defined itself as SME (small and medium-sized enterprise) at the time the Grant Agreement was signed.
