Deliverables
The output will be a report on the socio economic Situation, the legal barriers in Europe as well as the funtional requirements for ATO over ETCS, with the resulting deliverable D1.1.
The task will start by classifying the different types of nodes considered in the WP (marshalling yards, terminals) and develop a common understanding and description of operational procedures and rules in these types of local hubs based on the results of previous projects. Situations with one or multiple rail operators in a single hub will be taken into account. Furthermore, a common understanding of decision processes and their optimisation and automation potential in different types of local hubs will be developed and described in a report (D2.1).
The focuses is on automation in the nodes of the rail freight system and particularly brake testing requirements in marshalling yards to reduce lead time (D1.3).
The aim of the dissemination strategy is to identify the most efficient ways to guarantee the maximum visibility for the project and an optimal deployment of the project results. The task will identify the means of communication and collaboration and the content of appropriate dissemination tools. The website will be a key communication instrument within the Consortium’s dissemination effort and a key dissemination instrument outside the Consortium. It will be established in alignment with the Joint Undertaking as a European reference point to provide up-to-date, easy and quick access to shared requirements and further information on the project throughout the project period.
