System Requirements Specification

This report covers the writing of the System Requirements Specification for the chosen solution (in Task T3.1 for On-board Train Integrity System and in Task 4.1 for Trackside Energy Harvesting device for Object Controllers). This report will be an input for WP3 and WP4 activities. A draft version, for the “On-board Train Integrity Solution will be issued at M06. The final version will be issued at M12.

Train Integrity Methods Power Requirements and System Analysis

A report will be delivered to fulfil the call deliverable 1b), identifying the power requirements of the on-board energy harvester technologies, as defined by the communications specifications defined in T3.1 and T3.2. This report will contain a description of the power requirements (harvesting, storing, supplying) of the lowest power method capable of achieving train integrity as specified in T2.1, as well as also describing other methods where the power required is within that which is potentially available as predicted in T4.2. This report will include a description of the operating parameters of the test platform and the output of the FMEA.

Analysis of TEH Prototype tests results

This deliverable details test scenarios that will be developed for the TEH Prototype, specifying the RAM demonstrators and Key Performance Indicators. Furthermore this report presents the analyses of the TEH technologies testing, including conclusions and recommendations.

Functional Requirements Specification

The report describes the functional requirements needed for the “On-board Train Integrity System” and for the new “Trackside Energy Harvesting device for Object Controllers”. This report will be an input for the activities of WP3 and WP4 and for task T2.4. A draft version, for the “On-board Train Integrity Solution will be issued at M03. The final version will be issued at M09

Analyses of the economic models for energy harvesting systems

Report summarizing the scenario settings selected for modelling the economics of trackside energy harvesting systems and documenting the analyses pertaining to economic models and illustrating the insights that the WP provides to the rest of the project.

Trackside Energy harvester solutions report

This report provides an overview of all the possible energy harvester solutions, both available (with or without adaptation) and solution requiring development. Close collaboration will be required with WP6, requiring major conclusions to be delivered by M4. Based on the data processing and transmission requirements established in D2.1, some technologies may be rejected at this stage, and the limitations of others should be identified.

Trade-off analysis for on-board and track-side communication systems

The report will provide the results of the state of the art investigation and trade-off analysis conducted in T3.1 (Communication Systems and RF Components Trade-off Analysis) with regard to the on board and the track-site communication system. It will provide the foundation for the works conducted in T3.2

On-Train Communication Systems and RF Components Report

A report on the requirements and definitions for an on-board communication system capable of operating reliably under harsh power requirements and meeting the system specific requirements of T2.4; The report will contain findings conducted during development, simulation and implementation of the individual components.

Engineering Rules and Maintenance Requirements

This report details the requirements coming from all of the engineering aspects relating to the installation, cabling, configuration and maintenance of the “On-board Train Integrity System” and the new “Trackside Energy Harvesting device for Object Controllers”. This report will be an input for WP5. A draft version, for the “Train Integrity Solution” will issued at M09. The final version will be issued at M20.

On-board Energy Harvester, Power management and Energy Storage solution, design and predicted performance report for adapted or developed solution

This report includes a justification for the one or more technologies selected from D4.1 and an analysis of the development or adaptation for the demonstrator, showing compatibility with SIL4, existing OTI solutions, requirements established by D2.3 and interoperability with other rail systems (IP4Laboratory demonstrators of on-board energy harvester and OTI development platform will be produced for integration and testing in WP5.

Analysis of OTI Prototype test results

This deliverable details test scenarios that will be developed for the OTI Prototype, specifying the RAM demonstrators and Key Performance Indicators. Furthermore this report presents the analyses of the system testing, including conclusions and recommendations.

Communication Systems and RF Components for Trackside and Power Requirements

In this report the definition of the best technical solution for cable free object controllers, along with a definition of the requirements for energy consumption, robustness, availability, reliability and maintainability of the energy harvester will be presented.

Set-up public Website

This is for the set up, and going live, of a public website for the project. This will be updated throughout the life of the project.
