Project description

New digital solutions for smart factories

Mass customisation is no longer a pipe dream. The digitalisation of industry is transforming the existing manufacturing ecosystems and forever changing the production line. The EU-funded DIMOFAC project will develop solutions for a permanent production transformation, amelioration and adaptation that will reduce the time of production lines. To achieve this, it will integrate Plug-and-Produce modules in a ‘Closed-Loop Lifecycle Management System’. It will secure continuous safe communication throughout the product lifecycle by making a digital twin of each module. The project will result in a network of open pilot lines that will offer R&T and services in different industrial sectors.
