Objective Bubbling Fluidised Bed Combustion of 120.000 ton/yr of poultry litter based on the Kvaerner Pulping process producing 9,6 MWe during 8000 hours per year (electrical efficiency 23 %). Limestone is injected in the furnace to remove acid gases and activated carbon for dioxins and heavy metals. The ash is recycled as fertilizer after granulation. The innovation is the fluidized bed process application for the poultry litter feedstock and efficient operation without bed sintering and agglomeration. Project has received NFFO support.
