Objective
OBJECTIVES
The transparency and comprehension of professional qualifications in the health sector are proving to be increasingly important if the mobility of workers in the health sector is to be improved and the barriers which exist between Member States brought down. The object of this research is to analyse professional qualifications systems and methods of continuing and/or initial training and create a manual which promotes the comparison of titles of professions or of occupations in the health sectors of the Member States.
ACTIVITIES
The project will be implemented in four stages. Firstly, a preliminary questionnaire will be produced, information sources will be identified for each of the partner countries and the questionnaire will be administered. Then, the information will be gathered together and analysed, and a first synthesis of the results will be produced. Thirdly, the results will be discussed and corrected by specialists, unions, professional associations in the health sector and unskilled and skilled workers, during various meetings. The results will then be distributed to interested partners: governments, hospitals, insurance companies, unions and professional associations in all the Member States.
RESULTS
A manual featuring a list of correspondences for the professions or job titles in the health sector.
