Objective This project is to test new ways of using new information technology in vocational training. A team of teachers (engineers, electricians and basic) from each of the three participating countries meet and make a description of the task - "produce a programmable working robot which can move a given object from point A to point B".Teachers will then split and work with groups of students at their own school. Each group will make some of the parts of the robot and will communicate via Internet, fax, etc. with their colleagues in the two other countries. Drawings, lists of materials, timetables, changes in drawings, new ideas, improvements, problems, etc. will be exchanged. Finally the three groups will meet at one of the schools to assemble and test the robots. The exercise will involve students of different educational levels. ImpactThe project will facilitate the implementation and optimise the results of new technology (Internet, etc.) and develop current educational programmes. It will increase international co-operation amongst technical vocational training schools. After a three year pilot period, the results will be integrated into general education.Contract number : DK/96/1/00452/PI/I.1.1.a/FPIDomaine : Initial vocational trainingContents : Vocational qualifications Evaluation of vocational training Language skillsProducts : Training modules Group training with tutor Book, manual, guide Public : Young people in training Trainers, designers & managers of training programmes Vocational training policy makers/ Decision makers Programme(s) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Topic(s) I.1.1.a - Initial vocational training Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinator TEKNISK SKOLE & TEKNISK GYMNASIUM THY-MORS EU contribution No data Address KRONBORGVEJ 117-119 7700 Thisted Denmark See on map Total cost No data
