Thematic network : energy in the built environment (ENERBUILD RTD)

Objective

The EnerBuild RTD Thematic Network will provide important impetus to the process of bringing about change in the energy efficiency of European buildings by delivering significant added value to EC-funded research. The Network will comprise primarily JOULE and CRAFT building-related energy R&D projects, and FP5projects particularly within Key Action 6. Projects will be grouped incarefully constructed dynamic clusters co-ordinated by internationally respected experts, and considerable emphasis will be accorded inter-cluster opportunities and horizontal dimensions such as socio-economic and other crosscutting objectives at the European level. The entire process will be guided by a formal Steering Committee deciding strategic matters and including senior representatives of European industrial, professional and research federations and associations.
