Investigation of the GNSS receiver architecture on a transition from GNSS-1 to GNSS-2

Objective

The Project's main objective is to develop architecture of a Global Navigation Satellite System flexible receiver suitable both for the GNSS-1 and for the future GNSS-2, and to verify the proposed GNSS-1/GNSS-2 receiver architecture by software prototyping.

This objective is to be reached by undertaking:
- Investigation of the architecture of GNSS-1 receivers;
- Investigation of the proposals for the Galileo signal structure;
- Development of a flexible architecture effective for GNSS-1/GNSS-2 receivers;
- Development of effective correlation algorithms suitable for SW implementation;
- Development of the SW for the flexible GNSS-1/GNSS-2 receiver;
- Development of the RF front-end SW model;
- Development of the GPS/GLONASS/SBAS/Galileo SW signal simulator;
- Verification of the GNSS-1/GNSS-2 receiver architecture by in simulated environment.
The expected results are:
- A verified architecture of the flexible GNSS-1/GNSS-2 receiver;
- Verified computationally effective algorithms of GNSS signal procesing;
Simulation environment for software prototyping of GNSS-1/GNSS-2 receiver.
