Objetivo The goal of the proposal is to develop a novel cost energy effective production system for co-production of bio ethanol and electricity. The main features of the novel Integrated Biomass Utilisation System is:1) that is based on simultaneous utilisation of biomass with high lignocelluloses content (e.g. straw, waste wood, and MSW) producing a surplus of electricity and energy;2) that the ethanol production is integrated with existing power plants.
