Objective This project is intended, in collaboration between European steel producers, to create a database of fatigue properties for a wide range of steel grades in the as-rolled, as- formed and heat-treated conditions. The results will be of immediate application in the automotive industry, allowing down-gauging, redesign and higher strength steels to be adopted in the quest for fuel economy.
