Objective
Proposal for support of 36 conferences with support for 576 eligible event participants in 2007 at the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach (MFO), on "Modern Methods in Mathematics" within the programme "Marie Curie Conferences and Training Courses/Series of Events". The MFO is one of the leading mathematical research centres worldwide, which organises weekly high-level international conferences in all fields of mathematics and its applications.
The aim of these conferences is to present the most recent developments and to discuss further research projects. Many important developments in mathematics originated from one of these workshops, and almost all relevant mathematical results were presented here and discussed by the leading experts.
