Boosting local technology uptake - an opet action to support the objectives of the res-e Directive

Objective

The "electricity from renewable energy sources" (RES-e) Directive requires Member States to take legal action. However, achieving the RES-e targets will require a strong technological stimulus to boost technology implementation at local level. The project therefore aims to trigger local implementation of RES-e technologies through a series of promotional measures, all of them geared towards the market development of concrete installations using innovative RES-e technologies.

By trying to find local technological solutions to issues addressed by the RES-e Directive (grid system and administrative issues, financing), the proposal helps to establish a stronger link between policy and technology. The project puts a focus on countries in accession; special attention will be given to demonstrating the social and economic benefits of RES-e technologies.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: https://op.europa.eu/en/web/eu-vocabularies/euroscivoc.
