Project description
Advancing single cell analysis
Single-cell analysis has attracted great interest as it enables scientists to investigate the heterogeneity and complexity of individual cells within a population. By examining cells at this level of detail, researchers can gain valuable insights into various biological processes such as disease progression, drug response and developmental pathways. Funded by the European Research Council, the CellProbe project aims to address the existing limitations in single-cell analysis techniques by harnessing the potential of a microfluidic probe that allows precise manipulation of small volumes of liquids at the microscale level. The probe constitutes a powerful tool for single cell analysis, offering the possibility to create controlled biochemical environments with exceptional precision.
Objective
Having developed a liquid scanning probe - microfluidic probe (MFP) - for creating spatially-defined microscale biochemical environments and microscale molecular assays within the ERC-BioProbe project, in this proof-of-concept project, - CellProbe - we seek to leverage this technology toward realization of a commercially viable single-cell analysis platform

Net EU financial contribution. The sum of money that the participant receives, deducted by the EU contribution to its linked third party. It considers the distribution of the EU financial contribution between direct beneficiaries of the project and other types of participants, like third-party participants.
