Objetivo ELABORATION AND COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF TEST SYSTEMS FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF GENETIC EFFECTS OF ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMICALS AND OF THE PRODUCTS OF THEIR METABOLIC TRANSFORMATION. THE AIM OF THIS PROJECT IS TO STUDY THE CYTOGENETIC DAMAGE (SISTER-CHROMATID EXCHANGES AND CHROMOSOMAL ABERRATIONS) INDUCED BY VARIOUS CONCENTRATIONS OF DIRECT AND INDIRECT-ACTING CHEMICAL MUTAGENS ON PROLIFERATING TISSUES (BONE-MARROW, SPLEEN AND SPERMATOGONIA) AND LYMPHOCYTES STIMULATED IN VITRO OF MICE TREATED IN VIVO. PARTICULAR ATTENTION WILL BE GIVEN TO THE DIFFERENT SENSITIVITY OF GERMINAL TISSUES IN RESPECT TO SOMATIC ONES TRYING TO CORRELATE THIS DIFFERENCE TO THE METABOLISM OF THE MUTAGENS AND THE REPAIR INDUCTION PRESENT IN THE VARIOUS TISSUES.
