The European Commission, DG XII, has published a book containing summaries of cooperative research projects carried out between EU and South-East Asian entities in the period from 1991 to 1994. The programmes involved include Science and Technology for Development (STD), International Scientific Cooperation (ISC) and Information Technologies for Developing Countries (ITDC). Whilst these programmes have now been completed, a new programme, also covered in the report, entitled INCO-DC, is part of the broader specific programme for Cooperation with Third Countries and International Organizations (INCO) under the Fourth Framework Programme. The book provides an overall view of what has been achieved in cooperation with the South-East Asian countries in the framework of these programmes. It gives information on the work of both completed and on-going projects, as well as giving contact details for completed projects.
