Launch of Information Bureau on European Transport Research
The European Commission, DG VII, has launched the European Transport Research Information Bureau, to serve as a central enquiry point for information on the results of the Transport RTD programme. This initiative is part of the EXTRA project, which aims to ensure the cost-effective and targeted dissemination of the results of research projects supported by the Transport RTD programme. The Bureau will distribute information, such as relevant publications from the Transport RTD programme and final reports from individual RTD projects, in response to enquiries. In addition, publications such as newsletters and project summaries prepared within the EXTRA project will also be distributed. Where appropriate, the Bureau will be in a position to pass on technical and policy enquiries directly to RTD project contacts.
