Scientific evaluation of methods of evaluating epidemiological emergencies
The European Commission, DG V, has published an invitation to tender concerning the scientific evaluation of methods of managing an epidemiological emergency affecting more than one Member State. The Commission aims to obtain a detailed analysis of collaboration methods during an epidemiological emergency situation involving more than one Member State. The analysis should be based on case studies, and will require competence in investigative epidemiology and in the sociology of organizations. The Commission expects that the analysis will be completed by way of a 12-month contract, commencing in the fourth quarter of 1998.
