The European Commission, DG III, has published a call for tender for the provision of a study aimed at benchmarking the essential factors for achieving successful innovation, and thereby competitiveness in the modern biotechnology field.

The focus of the study should be the pharmaceutical and the agro-food sectors in light of the fact that these are the two most important applications in modern biotechnology. The study should be completed within eight months.
