ESPRIT multi-supplier CIM development
ESPRIT, the European strategic programme for RTD in information technology, announces the sucessful completion of an automotive industry project to develop CIM for multi-supplier operations. The project concentrated on the application and development of methods, tools, interfaces and architectures to facilitate the exchange of technical and commercial data between independent organizations. Expected benefits include a reduction of the product introduction time, shorter delivery lead times, reduced costs, lower stocks and improved product availability.
